One of my treasured possessions is an icon of the Virgin Mary purchased a few years ago during my honeymoon in Greece.
In today's edition of One Takes, Ian describes a depiction of Mary as a mermaid shown with a message in Greek that translates to "most holy mermaid of the Aegean Sea."
Sailors carry this image as a reminder that faith is with them in all places, at all times. You and I are also in Mary's care.
