Covenant Schools Inclement Weather Policy
The safety of our children, their families, and our staff is our top priority here at Covenant Schools.
We keep a watchful eye on all upcoming weather situations. For each inclement weather event, Covenant Schools will follow Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools’ (CMS) on the first full day of closure. If CMS opts for a remote learning day due to weather conditions, Covenant Schools will be closed.
After the first day, decisions will be made based on road conditions surrounding the Covenant campus and forecasts from local weather updates. The safety of staff, children and families will be a top priority when making these decisions.
In the event of delayed openings, Covenant Schools will open at 10am. Early dismissals will be determined on a case- by- case basis.
Once CMS announces their decision regarding opening/closing, the Covenant Schools admin personnel will immediately communicate those decisions to parents and staff, as well as posting on the Covenant Church’s website.
