Celebrate
The heart of our church's life is worship - strengthening and celebrating our faith by learning God's word of hope and grace.
At Covenant, we offer Christian worship that is broad and progressive, with styles that are distinctive in expression but uniform in theology and conviction.
Our sermons are scripturally based and intellectually stimulating, interpreted through the lens of Reformed tradition and applicable to the challenges of living faithfully in a modern world.
Our song is joyful - from hymns and anthems by Covenant's choir, long recognized for excellence, to a breadth of musical praise offered by our contemporary music team.
Holy Week Schedule
Palm Sunday services will follow our usual schedule (see below).
We'll mark Maundy Thursday with communion and a dramatic presentation, "Four Voices from Jerusalem," featuring characters from the Passion story. (7 p.m. in the Sanctuary)
On Good Friday, the Covenant Choir and orchestra present Handel's "The St. John Passion." (7 p.m. in the Sanctuary)
On Saturday, April 7, we host a special service for children and families, as well as a campus full of eggs and animals to represent new life. (10 a.m. in the Sanctuary)
Easter services will follow our usual Sunday schedule, except for the earliest service. It will be held at 8:15 in the Sanctuary.
Our Sunday Services
Covenant offers traditional worship services at 8:30 and 11 am. Our 8:30 service is held in a smaller setting at Morrison Chapel, and our 11 am service take place in our Sanctuary with the full Covenant Choir.
Our contemporary worship service is at 9:30 in the Sanctuary. Congregants are invited to come as you are - from shorts and t-shirts to suits and ties. Casual dress is optional but is not required.
We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of October through April, and the second Sunday in May through September. Click here for the elder communion letter and schedule.
Communion changes to the second Sunday of the month through the summer. Child care (through age 5) is offered for all services.
Midweek Worship
Covenant also hosts a midweek worship service at noon each Wednesday (September - May), which offers an informal exploration of God's word, and intercessory prayers, followed by lunch in our fellowship hall. During Lent, the meditations will focus on the images of Lent, including Money Changing, Palms and Donkeys, Washing Up, Conversations in Courtyands and Gardens, and Cross and Crown.
