Our Community
Christ has blessed each of us with unique gifts for service. Covenant's Local Outreach Ministries strive to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community, serving and building relationships with our neighbors who struggle with homelessness, poverty and hunger.
How can you help? First, ask yourself a question:
Are you passionate about those who go hungry?
In this harsh economy, more of our neighbors are in need of food. Covenant supports many Charlotte-area agencies that serve the hungry, and we offer members several ways to open their hearts to our community's struggling population.
Deliver meals, help with food drives, or teach your children the value of service, five cents at a time. Find out more here.
Are you passionate about those who are homeless and living in poverty?
Covenant has a proud history of innovative and dedicated service to the homeless and poverty stricken of Charlotte.
Our members host the homeless for a meal and a night of shelter at Covenant. We cook and serve meals at emergency shelters, and we team in small groups to offer love and support to a family that needs it. Find out more about what you can do here.
Are you passionate about serving families and children at risk?
At Covenant, we believe in investing in the future of our community's children. Our members tutor and read to students, volunteer at summer camps and sponsor classrooms at Highland Renaissance Academy, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg school serving many low-income families.
The relationships we develop are nourishing, and the help we provide is critical. To learn more, click here.
