Holy Week Services at Covenant Presbyterian

Covenant Presbyterian Church is a dynamic Christian community that gladly invites all people into a transformational experience of faith; boldly proclaims the gospel, bravely works toward a whole and just world, and passionately nurtures discipleship.

We invite you and your family to join us during Holy Week.

Maundy Thursday Contemporary Communion Service, April 13, Sanctuary at 7 p.m. Streamed live
Gather with us as we remember Jesus’ last hours with his disciples through song, prayer, scripture, and communion at this contemporary service.

Good Friday service, April 14, Sanctuary at 7 p.m. Streamed live

Children’s Easter Service, Saturday, April 15, Sanctuary at 10 a.m. Streamed live
Children will present the Easter story and sing. Following the service, there will be a “new life” baby animal petting zoo on the Circle and Easter Egg hunts for preschool & kindergarten. Bring your Easter baskets and picnic lunch if the weather is nice!

Easter Sunday, April 16 - Traditional: Chapel, 8:45 a.m. and Sanctuary, 11 a.m.  Contemporary: Sanctuary, 9:30 a.m. and Fellowship Hall, 11 a.m. Santuary services will be streamed live.

The music at Covenant’s 11:00 AM traditional Easter service will be a joyful, uplifting celebration of Christ's resurrection. After a beautiful organ voluntary played by Assistant Director of Traditional Music, Rob Dicks, the peals of the Covenant Ringers, accompanied by organ and brass ensemble, will ring out, followed by a bagpiper playing the traditional Highland Cathedral. The Covenant Choir leads our traditional hymns with organ and brass, as well as a glorious arrangement of Beethoven’s Hymn to Joy from his Ninth Symphony. The Covenant Choir will also sing Ralph Vaughan-Williams' Antiphon setting from his Five Mystical Songs, with the lively text, "Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King!" Our Director of Traditional Music will conclude our Easter worship with Louis Vierne’s exciting Finale from his First Symphony.
