Give Help
Want to put hands and feet to faith? Here are some of many service opportunities offered through Covenant.
Room in the Inn
Every year from December through early March, Covenant offers hospitality to 14 homeless neighbors for dinner and the night each Tuesday. This ministry provides food and shelter to our homeless neighbors and provides our congregation with an opportunity to build relationships with our neighbors. Many volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks from monthly coordinator to baking a casserole to spending the night. Please join us. To get involved contact Carla Leaf.
Give the gift of clear vision
The Urban Ministry Center is in constant need of reading glasses for homeless neighbors. Donations of new or used reading glasses can be delivered to the specified box in the Education Wing. (Some dollar and discount stores sell reading glasses)
Muffin Ministry
Take muffins and coffee to Crisis Assistance Ministry one early morning a month. Contact Carla Leaf.
Covenant Crew
A group of volunteers work quarterly to help members with minor home repairs maintenance jobs. 2013 work dates are February 2, May 4, August 3, and December 7. Contact parish nurse Mary Mattiacci if you'd like to volunteer or need assistance.
